What is the difference between Greengridz and non-constructive panels?
The benefits of Greengridz are as clear as day: lightweight, nearly unbreakable, environmentally friendly, and easily machinable. But are you aware of the differences between the patented structure of Greengridz and solid wooden panels?

Constructive panel
It does not get much simpler: Greengridz is a grid structure, and solid panels don’t have this internal structure. The grid structure of Greengridz panels is made without any adhesive. Only the cover panels at the bottom and top are pressed onto the grid with a minimal amount of biodegradable adhesive. An example of a solid construction panel is plywood or multiplex. These panels are made from laminated plys or wood veneer glued together. Each ply layer is perpendicularly glued to the previous layer, which means there is no grid-like structure inside; the end product is solid.
Lightweight, high-strength
Compared to a non-constructive panel, the main advantage of our constructive grid panel is its light weight combined with extreme strength and sustainability. Solid panels are more prone to breakage. In addition, Greengridz panels are environmentally friendly and widely applicable because they can be tailor-made for the intended purpose. Increasing the thickness of a panel, for example, raises the rigidity while maintaining attributes like optimal internal bonding and surface tension. Greengridz makes it easy to incorporate sustainable materials in multiple areas of residence construction where other panel materials are not suitable for this.
Low formaldehyde levels
The glue used to produce plywood usually contains a large amount of formaldehyde. This component naturally occurs in wood but is marked as a toxic air contaminant in high concentrations. MDF is made from compressed wood fiber and is graded as SCA Title VI/CARB compliant. This quality label indicates the efforts made by MEDITE to fabricate a highly safe furniture panel. To produce the Greengridz structure from MDF panels, only a minimal amount of biodegradable adhesive is required between the covering panels at the bottom and the top of the grid. Because of the SCA Title VI/CARB compliant base product and the innovative structure, the Greengridz panels contain a considerably lower amount of formaldehyde than massive or plywood panels.
Efficient transportation
Another area in which Greengridz shows unique features, unlike traditional construction panels, is CO2 emission reduction. The weight and strength of the panels allow for efficient transportation to clients. When traditional construction panels are transported, a truck can not be filled up entirely because of the weight of the panels and their proneness to breaking. With Greengridz panels, trucks can be filled up entirely, so fewer trucks are needed to transport them. This simultaneously reduces fossil fuel usage and, thus, CO2 emissions.
