What is MDF?
Greengridz® panels are the innovative solution to traditional wooden construction elements. Our circular panels are being used for a wide range of applications, from custom kitchen and bathroom countertops from Dekker Zevenhuizen to office furnishing from Triboo. Greengridz is made from SCA Title VI/CARB compliant and FSC-certified-MDF, Medium Density Fiberboard. MEDITE is the main supplier of the MDF we use. With this wood, we produce extremely strong Greengridz panels that are nearly unbreakable because of the construction. In addition, Greengridz panels are lightweight, environmentally friendly, and circular.

FSC-certified wood
MDF is FSC-accredited because of the responsible forestry MEDITE practices. This is reflected in its conscious harvesting approach, which is based on thinning out the forests it is custodian of. In addition to not clear-cutting woodland, MEDITE pays attention to the working conditions of workers and the social and economic well-being of locals. After harvesting, The wood is processed into individual fibers and then compressed into solid MDF panels.
From solid to constructive composition
MDF enters our production site as a non-constructive, solid panel. By applying lightweight engineering principles, we manufacture countertop foundations with a constructive composition. This is a substantial part of the products that our clients produce with Greengridz. The structure provides a lightweight and strong composition at once. Another special characteristic is that the grid structure itself requires no adhesive to produce. A minimal amount of liquid adhesive is added to compress the top and bottom panels onto the grid structure. As a result, Greengridz complies with the toughest formaldehyde regulation standards. This stands in great contrast with traditional solid wood panels that need adhesive to build any construction.
