FAQ

Change is known to raise questions, at least, and sometimes resistance. Innovation, with the terms sustainable and circular chained to it, can count on that and more. Therefore, we answer questions you might ask yourself or possible objections raised by this unconventional construction panel. We promise that change is not as scary as it seems. What is Greengridz®?

Greengridz is what it claims to be: sustainable and circular. Because we understand the importance of transparency when producing a sustainable product, we envisioned Greengridz’s product lifecycle in our interactive infographic. In addition, you can download a product brochure or a factsheet with technical information on the panel for free. On the blog section of this website, you can find information on the source of our product, sustainability licenses, and corporate social responsibility that substantiate our practices. If you find yourself with unanswered questions still, feel free to contact us at info@greenmarking.com.

Greengridz is owned by Dekker Zevenhuizen and engineered by and produced at Greenmarking.

Not yet. Greengridz is a grid panel made from responsibly sourced wood, so it is not made out of waste. When a panel reaches the end of its lifecycle, it is entirely recyclable. Because Greengridz is circular, we don’t consider it waste or useless at the end of the product lifecycle either.

Did you know that wood is a renewable energy source? That is because it can be grown to replace the wood that you harvested. It is exactly the forest management deployed by our main wood supplier, MEDITE, that sees to the preservation of forests. Their responsible forest management is rewarded with an FSC® label.

How much time do you have? First, Greengridz is reusable. As a building or renovation project, this presents the opportunity to obtain certificates like BREEAM and LEED. These kinds of sustainability certificates are credible, internationally recognized, and provide a means to stand out from the competition. In addition, sustainability and circularity are crucial subjects on the political agenda, with environmental regulation transcending national borders. We could go on about the other significant advantages of Greengridz, like the reduced CO2-emission, light-weight, nearly unbreakable strength, minimal required amount of adhesive, or you could read “What is Greengridz?” or “What is the difference between Greengridz and non-constructive panels?“.

At our Greenmarking Innovation Lab in Leeuwarden, we continuously innovate and refine our construction panels. Every question about Greengridz’s performance is put to the test, ensuring that our claims are backed by real data. This rigorous approach guarantees that we deliver only proven, reliable solutions.

No, Greengridz is not CARB2 certified. The Greengridz composite wood portions are TSCA Title VI/CARB compliant, which means that it is a safe product for the living environment. This means it meets the highest requirements when it comes to volatile organic compounds (VOC) such as formaldehyde. The construction panel thus makes an important contribution to a healthy working and living environment.
